Community Impact
Scott oversees all construction and warranty operations at True Homes, supporting the company's efforts through the True Foundation. He is the founder and board member of Builders Bridge and serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Housing Endowment, where he is also the Board Chair of the NHE HELP Grant program. Scott is passionate about connecting people and organizations with opportunities in the homebuilding industry, as well as teaching, leading, mentoring, and writing. He is actively involved in his faith community at Lifepointe Church in Fort Mill, SC, and participates in multiple community initiatives through Builders Bridge and True Foundation, including CMS, Union County, York Schools, Triad, Raleigh school systems, The ROC, SPCC, Charlotte Works, She Built this City, NC A&T, Purdue University, and the NAHB Student Chapter Advisory Board.
Personal Background
Scott has been married to his wife Lou for 22 years, and they have three grown children and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Fort Mill. Their youngest daughter is currently in college at Indiana University, making them new empty nesters. Scott moved to Charlotte in 2007 from Indiana, where he was born and raised. He grew up in Brownsburg, a small town west of Indianapolis, and attended Purdue University. Scott loves Charlotte for its unique opportunities and potential for significant achievements. He enjoys outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, hunting, and hiking. A lifelong Colts fan, Scott is also trying to support the Panthers. He is enthusiastic about working with others to create and accomplish significant projects through collaboration and bold action.
