Tom Laymon

In his current role, Tom is a semi-custom home builder overseeing business operations for the greater Charlotte area. He has a strong passion for the next generation and their progression into adulthood, as well as for creating a new, affordable, accessible, and effective healthcare model. Tom is actively involved in his faith and community, participating in organizations such as Riley’s Catch, Elevation Church, and supporting first responders (MCSD, CMPD). His extensive professional background includes serving as Chief Care Delivery Operations at Atrium Health for 13 years, CEO of OrthoCarolina for 4 years, President of Med3000 for 4 years, Treasurer at Provena Health for 3 years, and CFO at Homestar Bank for 3 years.

Tom has been married to his wife Lisa for 36 years. They have a daughter, Ellie, who is 25, married, in the ministry, and lives in Cleveland. Their son, Riley, who is also in the ministry, lives in Heaven. Tom moved to Charlotte in 2005 from Chicago. He attended Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and is originally from Moweaqua, Illinois. He loves Charlotte for its great weather, commerce, culture, major events, sports teams, strong business community, and his church. Tom enjoys golf, fishing, hiking, and beating Josh at pickleball.
